This Is As Good As It Gets

So how’s your life going? That’s a loaded question I know. We all ask it of ourselves occasionally and when things aren’t going well we might ask it more. Taking inventory of our lives doesn’t only happen at the new year or on our birthday, but thinking about how life is going is something we ruminate on a lot.

If you’re anything like me, your life has been a roller coaster of ups and downs, twists and turns, steep climbs, and falls that nearly make you lose your lunch.

Such is life. We all go through things we love and things we wish never were. We take a step forward and two back. Wash, rinse, and repeat. We learn something new and sometimes still fall back into old, sinful ways. We crush one goal only to sideline another. Again, such is life. We all fall (sin) and make mistakes. We win some and lose some. If this is all of us, and it is, we might as well be honest about it.
