Oh no! I'm stunned to read this! You both are such an inspiration to me - your love for God, for each other, and for the sharing of important Biblical truths with others in the very patient, loving way that you do. I will go right now to read the post about what has happened, but will stop before I do to lift you both before the Father.
I was just yesterday reading I Thessalonians 5:16-18 to my dad who is going through some difficulty now as well. It's an easy one to read and say, much more difficult to live. My prayer for you both is that you will, by God's grace and through His Spirit.
The only other words of encouragement that come to mind are those that are the title of Rick's Substack - that no matter what may be, Rick's (and your) eternity is Still Finished!
16 Rejoice always, 17 pray without ceasing, 18 give thanks in all circumstances; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you.
Jim, I just read your comment to Rick, and he let me know he was just reading those exact verses last night. God is good. 🙌 Also, praying for your father and his challenges. 🙏
With my dad right now and told him you were paying for him. What an encouragement for him! God truly IS good - ALWAYS! Some day we'll swap more detailed stories - this side of eternity or the other!
I'm so sorry, Kim. This is such a hard thing for a man used to making his own way and keeping his independence. You will both be in my prayers as you navigate the difficult road ahead. Much love! 💜🙏 ✝️
My prayers to you and your family. Take your time doing what you must. Your words have been a blessing and now others will bless you as you take care of your husband. God bless you with strength and peace. 🥰🙏🏾❤️
