A Brand New Thing

The one thing we can count on in this life is that things will change. Nothing truly stays the same, and that can be unsettling, especially for someone like me who appreciates routine and structure. But when life has been challenging for a long time, you begin to doubt change will ever come. Distrust creeps in, and you find yourself wondering what went wrong and why. You want to trust God’s plan and hope for the future, but fear and doubt fuel distrust.

Since the new year, God has touched my heart with the same verses. He shows me the same two verses of Scripture multiple times a day. They have come in email, through social media, my own Bible reading, and video, and there’s no way not to see God’s hand in it.
